Shiroi City, known as a city of greenery and modernity, is located about 35 km northwest of Narita New Tokyo International Airport and about 30 km southeast of the Tokyo　Metropolitan area.

Shiroi is a modern residential area with a population of about 60,000 inhabitants and many newly built high-rise apartments and houses. In consequence, a large number of residents commute to Tokyo for work, whereas some of the local residents work at pear and grape farms.
